The Human Rights First
Human Rights Award

Human Rights First was founded in 1978 as the Lawyers Committee for International Human Rights to "promote laws and policies that advance universal rights and freedoms." Since 1986, it has presented the Human Rights Award at its annual Human Rights Dinner to an individual actively engaged in defending human rights, protecting refugees or working to stop discrimination and crimes against humanity.
