International Authority on Cause & Prevention of Cancer
1998 Right Livelihood Award Winner

birthdate: ?
birthplace:
London, England

Dr. Samuel Epstein is one of the world's leading authorities on the causes and prevention of cancer. He champions winning the war against cancer through cancer prevention -- avoiding exposure to carcinogens in the workplace and in our food, air and water, as well as in products that we buy such as cosmetics, prescription drugs, pesticides and household products. He has been a staunch critic of the traditional cancer establishment's focus on curing cancer rather than cancer prevention, claiming that there is a conflict of interest with the establishment's involvement with the cancer drug industry and the petrochemical industries. Dr. Epstein received the Right Livelihood Award in 1998 for his dedication to helping make the world safer for all.
