World Future Council

Jakob von Uexkull

The World Future Council was founded by Swedish writer, philanthropist and founder of the Right Livelihood Award, Jakob von Uexkull. This international, non-governmental organization's goal is to work for a sustainable future in the fields of environment, governance, human development, human rights and peace. The organization was launched in October 2004. The 50 founding Councilors were chosen by consultation with 2500 non governmental organizations. Some of the Council Members are listed here.
