Harrison
Ford is known worldwide as one of Hollywood's biggest stars, but he is also well
known for his passion for environmental concerns. He has been active in many environmental
campaigns and has received awards from the Natural Resources Defense Council,
and in 2002 received Harvard University's Environmental Citizen of the Year award.
He is an active board member of Conservation International, whose mission is "to
conserve the earth’s living natural heritage, our global biodiversity, and to
demonstrate that human societies are able to live harmoniously with nature."
